
Dr. Rosenwasser is an ophthalmologist certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology who specializes in cornea and external disease, corneal transplantation (PKP/DLEK/DSEK/DSAEK/DALK), cataract surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK/LASEK/PRK), ocular tumor surgery and reconstruction of the front portion of the eye.
Dr. Rosenwasser came to central Pennsylvania in 1988 to Penn State University, and the Lions Eye Bank of Central Pennsylvania. He transitioned to private practice in the community after attaining the level of Associate Professor. He has published numerous scientific papers and abstracts, chapters and books in cornea and external disease, eye banking, ophthalmic echography and ophthalmic genetics as well as the first handbook and atlas of eye banking. He travels widely on surgical eye mission trips, most recently as a faculty member on Orbis, a flying eye hospital, to educate ophthalmologists worldwide. He serves on the Medical Advisory Board and as faculty for Technician Education of the Eye Bank Association of America, the Museum Committee of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Cogan’s Society for the History of Ophthalmology, and is the current Director of the Gift of Life Donor Program Eye Bank.
Growing up on a poultry farm in New Jersey, he moved to Miami Beach at thirteen where he lived until his medical internship.
