These tests can be performed in our office to help diagnose and manage eye infections.

Biopsies

These tests can be performed in our office or in our procedure suite using local anesthesia. They enable our doctors to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions including infections and cancers.

Topography

These surface maps allow our doctors to assess the shape of your cornea. It can be helpful in diagnosing and treating surface irregularities or astigmatism.

Specular microscopy

This instrument allows our doctors to assess the health of the inner layer of your cornea. It can analyze the cellular structure of your endothelium.

Pachymetry

This instrument measures the thickness of the cornea and is helpful in assessing endothelial function. It helps to determine the need for corneal transplant surgery.

Aesthesiometry

Measuring the sensation of the cornea is painless and helps to diagnose and manage conditions that can affect corneal healing.

Digital external, slit lamp and fundus photography

These photographs help document the health of your eye and allow our doctors to follow your exam over time to better manage your condition.

Automated threshold perimetry

This test can measure your side vision. It helps to diagnose conditions that can affect the retina, optic nerve, or vision pathways in the brain.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

A new non-invasive method of imaging the retina and nerve fibers of the eye with several micron resolution. Useful in detecting changes due to macular edema, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and optic neuritis.
